BIMM celebrates its continued partnership with 2000trees
We once again partnered with 2000trees festival, and this year’s line up was peppered with students and graduates both performing and working behind the scenes.
We had over 70 students from all our campuses working in various roles and areas, including site building, artist liaison, artist accreditation, backstage runner, stage crew, lighting and sound engineer, social media, marketing and, of course, performing. By giving our students the opportunity to work in all these different areas, we enable them to gain valuable experience and network with industry professionals and fellow students.
2000trees onstage performers
We ran two stages, The Word Stage and Forest Sessions Stage. Students were solely in charge of the stages, with a couple of professionals on standby in case they needed anything.
The two stages saw a great many students performing across the weekend, including: Cora, Ziön x Siobhán, Eighty Eight Miles, Skull The Pierre and Kid Kuba, Andi’s Chamber, Oceanless, M/X, High Regard, The Redroom, Modessa, Tokyo Toy Company and Affection to Rent.
Not only that but some of our excellent students and graduates were also billed elsewhere at the festival, including: CLT DRP, Kite Thief, The Hara, IDestroy, The Xcerts and The Wytches.
“Big thanks to BIMM – the connections that we make at events like this are so valuable. I’ve met so many other students that I wouldn’t normally get to meet. Meeting the artists backstage and seeing the difference in them when they go onstage and watching the crowd’s reactions is amazing.”
